Alright go ahead and spoil it for me.

After reading the boards it seems like it would be wise to skip this and not waste an hour and half of my time. SO judging by the boards who says it's comparable to "Skeleton Key" I'm going to assume the cult leader left his body when everybody committed suicide and jumped into the now groundskeeper body who is getting old and is going to than take over the blonde haired lady's body???

English is not my language, but I'll try to make it short.

The cult leader is in fact Yaldabaoth, making his way to the world and unleashing the power of cosmic chaos gods. So not a total waste of time. The epilogue of Thomas Jane speaking as the herald/servant of this god is almost worth the entire film.

Sorry for my english.

There is a reason I never heard of this. It's a dull boring POS. One would think it would be hard to get 2 current stars to be in something this stupid (roles usually reserved for celebrities on the outs like Tara Reid of Jason London) so kudos to them.

I liked Skeleton Key a lot more. The groundskeeper looked like the guy who was repeatedly bashed in the head with a hammer, but I'm not sure.

One thing I don't get, among any number of things in the movie, is why the cultists didn't possess the group of police who responded to the mass suicide.

reply

Yea...I didn't get that either. Why they waited all that time to possess the filmmakers' bodies.

Probably because they had just died and didn't understand how to use their powers yet. Or perhaps they didn't yet have a desire to kill. A few dozen years wondering the forest as ghosts, being jealous of the groundskeeper who was the only one truly made immortal probably drove them crazy and made them willing to kill others. They kill the film crew as well as the police and ambulance responders at the end of the film. Those deaths will bring more and more people, who will also all die. This could be the end of humanity as we know it.
