Sigh. It gets tiresome listening to people's "facts", which almost all come from HIGHLY slanted sources. Why don't you try using REASON and LOGIC rather than these extremely dubious "facts"? The Clinton foundation is a charity, whatever else it may be. Shows like "Last Week" highlight a lot of under-reported problems that are going on in the world, and--until recently--rarely ever mentioned US politics at all. Aren't there OTHER reasons that the Clinton Foundation might reach out to John Oliver OTHER THAN to smear Donald Trump or try to him put him in "Hilary's Pocket"?
IF you were watching Oliver BEFORE February 2015 when he was "corrupted", was there ever any doubt that 1. as a moderate or liberal, he would be appalled by Donald Trump and 2. as a comedian and entertainer, he would consider this ass-clown comedy gold? He hardly needed ANY encouragement to attack Trump and I doubt that was why the Clinton Foundation contacted him--if the story is even true at all. Also, Oliver has not exactly championed Hilary Clinton either, and he has for two consecutive weeks referred the WikiLeaks releases that have come out about her. They're not as damning or "comedy gold" like the Trump tape, so he hasn't done a feature on them, but he certainly wouldn't mention them AT ALL, or criticize Clinton like he does, if he were really in "her pocket".
The point is though not every ridiculously paranoid thing someone says about somebody you don't happen to like is true. The reason Clinton is very likely to be the next president is because the candidate they put forth to oppose her is a hate-filled, erratic, and unqualified demagogue meant to cater to the tin-foil-hat wing of the Republican Party. Intelligent people hardly need John Oliver to see the threat here in Donald Trump and to realize that the wife of a former president, however sleazy she is, is by far the lesser of two evils.

Sorry, folks, but WikiLeaks has proven that 99% of mainstream media is in the tank for the DNC. Those of us with any semblance of intellectual integrity would've told you this was already the case, but now we have the actual e-mail correspondence.

If the media is unbiased, why were they ranting and crying on the air Tuesday night? Seriously, are you people blind? On a plus note, those youtube vids were saved and will be pulled out every time the media says they are fair and equal.
Watching Whoopie and JO burst some roids this week was the icing on the cake of freedom.

My gf watches the show and I saw the most recent (10/17?) episode with her.
Normally when people bash Trump, I would agree, it's understandable for a comic. But in this episode he bashes Trump, then does a complete hit job on both Jill Stein and Gary Johnson, omitting Clinton entirely from what I saw. I've actually never seen such an unbalanced hit job on these two relatively sincere third party candidates.
I sat there thinking, "what possible motivation could he have for doing that?" Two answers: he finds actual fault with the third party candidates, or third party candidates are taking votes away from Hillary Clinton and he wants to guide voters to the "right place."
I know that he was on the Daily Show and that type of comedy is his shtick, but many of us are getting really tired of comedians straying from their craft for the sake of promoting Hillary Clinton. It's honestly not their job to be promoting one candidate or another, they should strive to bash the candidates equally. And there is certainly a LOT of fault to find with Hillary Clinton, particularly in comparison to Jill Stein or Gary Johnson.
All of this just continues to polarize America and confirm to the alt right that the media is in fact rigged towards Hillary.
