He seems pretty opportunistic (in is own loveable way) and I imagine at very least a consultant. But aside from reports I can't seem to find anything that concrete

After seeing Tommy at a screening of The Room a few months back, he definitely didn't seem thrilled about the idea of the movie.

Even Greg has said Tommy only supports about 50% of the book.

I thought Tommy was happy about Franco's involvement because Franco also played James Dean, and Tommy is the world's biggest James Dean fan, which you would know if you read Sestero's book.

i wonder how tommy will react to the movie
he is not exactly portrayed as a saint in the book
