Joaquin Phoenix would've been perfect to play Tommy Wiseau.

He practically IS Tommy Wiseau, but with acting chops.

I agree. He's a little shorter kinda like Tommy. And with a little more makeup.. he might fit to play Tommy.

I agree with you. But if Joaquin did a really good impression of Tommy, then he can play Tommy. As for James.. I thought his acting is worst than Tommy! Lol

I can see how people would prefer Phoenix. We're stuck with Franco it seems. What concerns me more than anything are the voice and mannerisms. Wiseau was just so damned unique in that respect that any imitation that forgets something could mess up the whole performance.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
