Danny's Moments with Sally, S1

I think some of Danny's most fascinating moments were shared with Sally, and playes a big part of what made Danny such a dynaic, complex character. Danny always kept us guessing. There were so many moments, especially early on, when I couldn't decipher wether other not he exhibited any real sincerity with his family members. The sarcasm, his condescending attitude...
But, I think there were some moments of tenderness. Scenes of a few evenings shared with his mother, on their front porch. They felt sincere and genuine to me.

Or, was it calculated? Was he being manipulative? Was he prying his way in? Was it a tool to place him into a more active role in the business decisions?

Sorry but you weren't paying attention. There was very little good about Danny. Everything he did was manipulative and he only showed kindness and some humanity when he thought he could get something from his family. The moment he realized that wasn't working, then out came the real Danny. Hiding drugs in the family business knowing that it could all be destroyed and not caring. It always boggles my mind how people cannot see this. Even his own son realized what a loser he was.
