Netflix kill Bloodline's Emmy chances by announcing cancellation now?

Nominated for two major awards-Drama,Best Actor Kyle Chandler & Supporting Actor Ben Mendelsohn. Why put the dark "Canceled Show" cloud on their chances by announcing it days before award night?Season 3 is a freaking year away. The writers probably have not even began coming up with a story yet. What was the rush to put a stain on the show for everyone invloved? This Cindy Holland is an idiot. She should have saved her dumb statement of cancellation after season 3 started streaming.Because season 3 could be the best yet but in the back of viewers minds will be that it is a canceled show. This is a quality drama with an A list, award nominated cast not Hemlock freaking Grove with its 38% RT score.

They didn't "cancel" the show. They simply announced the third season would be the last. And I assume that the votes for the Emmy's have already been cast with the event just days away, but if that weren't the case the announcement could only help because it would signal to voters they aren't going to have but one more chance to honor the cast.

I totally agree. The final season announcement won't change what happened for the Emmy votes and again it's for season 2. This actually could help their chances with season 3 next year. It didn't effect "Downton Abbey", which is in it's final Emmys year, or "Mad Men" last year and Jon Hamm finally won.

Why would the cancellation ruin any chances. That makes no sense.

Some people whom are not familiar with it may not give it a chance because they think that it's not good, or has low ratings because it was canceled. I agree with other posters, that they could have saved the announcement of its cancellation until season 3 had started.
