At Thanksgiving there was a bit of talk about the mother. Then it was asked if someone should go tell their mother about the death. Okay, with cell phones and computers the only reasons I see to "go tell her" is she is beyond the reach of phones and computers. This leaves: prison, or an insane asylum. Any thoughts on this?

shareI would lean towards some sort of medical or psychiatric issue since I would think the police would be all over it if mom was in prison. I mean Eric was in juvie(?) for killing someone and mom is in prison too. That would be a bit of overkill.
Also, I guess I have a hard time seeing them wanting to delivery bad news to someone in a coma. Maybe she has early Alzheimers or dementia. Some issue where she can't be at home but is lucid enough to know who Kate was and would miss her at some point.
I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.
I wonder if it was a coincidence that the show featured two very blue eyed actors as the male leads. I dont think I would have really noticed if the promotional "posters" for the show didnt emphasize their eye color so much. Its always cool to see some fellow blue eyes get ahead!

shareI thought maybe she tried to commit suicide so they locked her up. That's why they seemed so freaked out over the thought of Kate having possibly commited suicide. The other option might be coma since I noticed Amanda reply with "what's the point" when her brother asked if anyone had gone to see her.
