Hm, the dad...

I just thought about this: Cornell asked the dad why he was retiring. Seemed believable when he said it was because Eric was ready. But no matter what dirt they dig up on Eric, his dad won't let him resign, no matter what Eric says. It may be nothing, but I just read that in the first episode, he seemed hesitant to let them stay at his place. Someone suggested money troubles for him? Maybe he needs Wric there to take the fall for something involving the company?

Was it the third or fourth episode that Eric flipped out on his father for having Neil take over his clients? It seems to me that Dad is doing everything to keep the doors open whereas Eric seems willing to let it burn down.

When I opened this thread I expected something different.

After meeting the con kid Eric's wife hired from her home town and hearing his story, I threw my suspicion back onto Dad. He knocked her off the roof because she destroyed his life's achievement with that one irresponsible action. And it adversely affects his "family": His clients, employees and their families.

"He lied about the lies that he lied about"!

Things get more and more complicate with each passing episode and the reveals about family secrets will keep coming - basically every family member will became a suspect and could have motive to do it, John's (the dad) double life will get exposed in episodes 8 and 9
