If there was a 3rd season, what case would you want to see?

I don't know if this will make any sense because I'm not very good at writing out my ideas (fan fic was never my thing) but hear me out..

I picture the first scene would be Cornell being rushed into the OR. She barely pulls through, but when she wakes up she can't remember anything about the crime. The last thing she remembers is having a drink at the office and that's it. The rest of the season could be about her, with the help of the department, trying to piece together what happened. Either they will find her daughter or she turns herself in and because she was so effed up on drugs she only remembers bits and pieces of what happened, but not who she was with. This series likes to use flashback to reveal the past, so maybe they could switch between Cornell and her daughter, revealing suspects from both their lives. In the end, they find the real shooter and the daughter goes to jail, but not before the alligator tears and apologies to her mom. Cornell forgives her of course, because she'll believe her. The last final twist could be that her daughter really did plan the botched murder and the memory loss was a complete lie. It will tear Cornell apart, but she'll be alive and as difficult as it will be, she'll move on with her life.

It's a little cliched, but i think it could be pulled off. If there's going to be a final season, then it's fitting it involves the only connecting character of the series. They could have her actually be murdered and just have her partner trying to solve it, but I desperately want her to survive. She doesnt deserve to go like that! And no cliffhangers!!!

What about everyone else? What kind of case would you want to see? It doesn't have to be Cornell related.
