RB and Confidential

Corinne begged that Eric show RB mercy. Did they resolve that? Also, would Confidential show the shooter at the end?

reply

They didn't resolve if Eric showed mercy to RB or not. A new Cornell Confidential is on ABC, but it just has 32 months later featuring Eric, Patrick, and Amanda's daughter noting about Cornell. Another poster mentioned there might be another Cornell Confidential in a few days or weeks on Cornell and the ending scene.

I don't even know that he could. They already had too much evidence including the letter, DNA, GPS tracker, the cash, and the info on the iPad.

I hope Eric did NOT ask to drop charges against RB.

RB chose to hate and try to exploit the wrong person. He didn't bother to try to meet his half brother and learn anything about his father's other children.

He was raised with the same advantages as Eric, if not more. He spent the same amount of time with his father, if not more. His father paid for his education and offered him guidance as he did his others. Plus he was nurtured by a loving mother. Still he decided to blame and punish another for his own shortcomings instead of asking for assistance and finding a legitimate way to keep his company afloat.

It's hard for me to forgive bullies', extortionists' and racketeers' false sense of entitlement. They don't have the imagination to create so they destroy. RB needs to go prison.

PREACH.

RB got on my last nerve with all his whining and his hateful attitude towards Eric. The one he should be mad at is his father for being greedy and having his cake and eating it, too. I understand that his poor mother wants her family around her during her last days, but RB is a grown a$$ man that's capable of making his own decisions. Instead of being there for his mother, he decided to take the easy way out and blackmail his own flesh and blood. He deserves to go to jail and he has to take responsibility for his actions. I hope Eric let him sit and spin.

Love,

I hope he did get R.B. off for Charlotte's sake. She was completely innocent and deserved none of this. He took her to her chemo (his alibi for Kate's death), so she probably needs him.

He blackmailed a man who was a total stranger to him, half brother or no. And John's money came from wife #2, so he did not give R.B. and Charlotte everything Eric's family had. They got all the money back, so no harm, no foul.

And Adam Kaufman played R.B., so that's another reason I wanted him to get away with it.

You should have ended there. The rest only made me feel justifiably resolute. lol

Why do you keep calling her Charlotte? lol Her name is Corinne. I have to say I agree with the majority here. He deserves all the jail time he can get. He did this to himself. He didn't even know Eric, but hated him because he was jealous? What he did took planning and premeditation. He knew his mother was dying, how selfish is that? He could have waited another year or 2 until his mother was dead to do something that stupid. She was such a sweet lady and deserved a much better family. He took her totally for granted. Yeah, Eric and siblings had a ton of money, but they had a horribly abusive mother. At least RB had an amazing family life. He had no excuse to do something like that. He never went without and he had a dad and mom that loved him. He wanted it all. I understand where Corinne was coming from and I really felt bad for her. I just wanted to give her a hug, but there is no way I would cut him slack if I were Eric. Eric's life is ruined too. I don't understand why RB didn't blackmail his father. That made no sense to me. How was it Eric's fault by any means that his dad was a prick? His anger was completely misplaced so I don't feel sorry for him at all.

John gave him a chance too and helped him start a business. He was an idiot and ran it into the ground. He needed to stop playing the pity card and man up. He acts like he had nothing, but in reality he had a much better life than his half siblings.

By the same logic, Amanda should get off on murder charges because it was a moment of blind rage and she clearly didn't know what she was doing at the time because she was so effed up on hormones and who knows what else? Plus I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to push her off the roof, she was just out of her mind in again, misplaced rage.

Ugh, he pissed me off so much. I actually thought for a second that Eric was contemplating dropping the charges. I'm glad he didn't.

They got the money back and no one was physically harmed as a result of his actions. His mother Corinne (Charlotte was a mistake) needs him badly. Give him probation so he can be with her and take care of her. Make him wear an ankle bracelet like Neal in White Collar. I think Corinne's needs are more important than punishment.

Mental and emotional harm. And mental/emotional duress causes physiological issues.

What if Eric punched that man who Kate was meeting? He initially suspected he was the blackmailer. Same with the kid. Same with the rogue cop.

That blackmail note created a chain of events that some may not have come back from.

We don't what or how much Kate endured as a result of RB's scheme.

It also increased the perception of guilt on Eric being his wife's killer. It made Cornell want to see his juvy file more.

Cancer lady is already dying. Her life is over. She's made her peace. The living have to live with the consequences of their actions. They're no longer her concern.

Besides, RB expressed no remorse. Although he was shown to be foolish, he held onto his bitterness. He's the one who should've been apologizing and begging.

Conversely, Patrick finally took ownership of his malfeasance and devised a plan for his personal growth while he served his time.

If RB showed any kind of remorse, then maybe I'd feel different, but he didn't. He never apologized once. He still believed he was entitled to feel that way. Like I said, why didn't he blackmail his father? I just don't understand why he was so mad at Eric, but not his dad. He was mad at his dad too, but not to the same degree. It sucks for Corinne, but he deserves what he gets. The guy is psycho.
