i think Amanda was wrong for asking Eric to take the baby
the baby is innocent so she should asked him to help find the baby a good home away from all this horrible baggage
it's never Joan Van Ark- Marge Simpsons

i think he was even only there because he needed her to plead guilty... she needs to talk to the FATHER about the child... not her brother, that is waay out of bounds
shareIf she pleaded guilty to manslaughter she's probably looking at an 8-10 sentence. With parole she is out by the time the kid is in 1st grade. So she is probably just looking for someone to take care of the kid until she gets out.
shareDespite what she's done, why wouldn't she want the best care for her child? Eric would be the one to provide that.
And regardless of whatever animosity he held against his sister, he'd still love the baby. Look at how protective he became towards Kate's grown son. Besides, loving and caring for an innocent child would help heal the wounds inflicted by his entire family. He and the baby need one another.
HOWEVER, it will be a problem when/if Amanda is released from prison and wants to connect with the child. OR/and if Neil changes his mind. Hopefully, Eric took legal precautions to protect him and his daughter and didn't agree to any custodial arrangement with Amanda.
When the baby gets older, it's going to get messy enough.
Some have such a low esteem they create reasons to hate everyone else.
Good luck finding a family with no baggage.
