First, the sister mentioned Ben Crawford died in prison ... do I have amnesia? I don't remember that at all!
Second, I love Juliette Lewis, but the repressed, emotionless character is starting to wear, and is a little creepy like the sister's mimicry showed. They need to let her laugh, cry, scream, something!!
It was intimated that Ben died on the last CORNELL CONFIDENTIAL.
shareYeah, the writers didn't have to go there because Ben dying in prison was never referenced on the aired series. It was only revealed online in the Cornell Confidential sneak peeks/unaired scenes. They could have decided to not make it canon, but they did. Also, in the unaired scenes, they also showed Cornell finding Christy and Abby, so Abby was brought to justice. I wonder if they are going to show her some time this season in a cameo appearance.
shareI watched all of season one, and I don't think there is any reason to bring season one into season two. They can remain separate.
The only thing that annoyed me about this season so far, is that they are overdoing it about how deeply in love, and how hot for each other, Kate & her husband are. In every flashback it is all full of them kissing. I hope it abates as the show goes on, we've got the idea.
And the wedding scene, come on. They start making out while the officiant is conducting the ceremony, they haven't even done their vows. That never happens.

I think they were already married in City Hall. Did you notice that seats and an aisle were set up, but empty? Only his family was there. It his brother that got officiated online that was "marrying them" - they even pushed him into the pool (conveniently located behind the brother) after they started kissing and he kept talking.

shareI think they're showing how much Eric and Kate loved each other to set a precedent. In last year's 2 seasons, Ben and his wife had marital issues and he'd had an affair. While in this new story, Eric seemed to really have loved his wife as they were still pretty early on in their marriage.

shareI also have enjoyed Juliette Lewis but I agree - her character is portrayed as such a cold bitch that it is difficult to even watch her scenes. She is just one unending cold scowl . .
