Do people still hate Juliette Lewis?

I'm not seeing as many postings about her as I did season one. I like Juliette Lewis and think she has done a great job playing the character. A lot of people thought it was just bad acting the first season but this season I feel like they have fleshed out her character much more and And given her more to work with.

Thoughts?

I don't care for her acting. It seems forced.

I wasn't a fan in the 90's but this show has shown me a different side to her(acting) and I think she's perfect for the part.

I totally agree with you, Naughty. The woman herself went thru some real growing pains in earlier years, but she seems to have matured into a real quality actress. This show has really woken me up to her talent.

Knowing how she started, it is clear that she is immensely talented. Unfortunatly there are few roles which would allow her to shift from her naughty-brat image to the middle-aged woman she should be by now. And S&L is just another wasted opportunity. Instead of giving her something to gnawl on, she has this empty role of a woman looking sour. In the first season there was at least the reveal that there was something behind that shell which explained it to a degree. This season this was entirely missing: her character acts sour towards everyone, even that lab guy who for some reason get pushed around by her. Which is ironic, given how inefficient her detective is, ordering gazillions of tests and in the end only getting towards the closure by doing something which should have been part of her routine in episode 1 of this season.
So, with all that in mind, I don't think this butchered show allows judging Lewis qualities, except perhaps her utter incompetence when it comes to choosing the right roles as the vehicle for her talent.

I don't think the show has as many viewers in Season 2 as 1, especially since Season 2 came out well over a year after 1 ended. I'm not really impressed with Lewis. I guess it's just her character more than anything, but she's too damn stoic for my taste!
