Is this show any good?

I'm almost done S2, and have power watched the last few days. I can't take anymore!
I watch everything, from BBC classics to comic book based shows - but this is too awful to continue.
It's bad campy, horribly scripted, unbelievable stories, and great actors.
*sigh* shame too, because I want to love it.

I enjoy watching this show because it's entertaining, and I like the characters chemistry and interactions.

It's stupid, escapist fun but the characters grow on you.

It depends on what types of TV shows you are into. If you enjoy TV shows like the Chuck, Burn Notice, Eureka, Chips, Starsky & Hutch, Jake and the Fatman, The A Team, Alias, Veronica Mars and Psych you might enjoy this one but I would advise you not to take this show too seriously 'cause it is loosely based on a true story and not based word by word on a true story. This is one of the main problems some haters have with this show and if you don't take TV shows seriously you will enjoy it.

I am a fan of Katharine McPhee too and I loved Smash and her second album and she is great in this. 😃

I can't really recommend this show anymore. But McPhee does get a lot of screen time in the show, and she's very lovely. They do a great job with her hair and makeup, she's always smashing. And her character is okay. The show is totally absurdist and fun. Real popcorn entertainment with pretty good characters and occasionally witty dialog and some good heart. Lots of action. The first season is the best. After the third season premiere i'm not sure i'm going to be a regular watcher anymore.
