Just discovered that the gorgeous Katharine McPhee has another tv role on this show, and I really want to watch it for her.
But is this a good show? It will be difficult to watch a show that I can't get in to, regardless of how gorgeous the McPhee eyecandy will be.
The actual stories are silly, implausible, often times "campy". So most of us who enjoy it watch it for the characters, their quirks, their interactions with each other. If that sort of show appeals to you then yes, watch it and be entertained. If you are the type that nit-picks all the things you see in each episode then you probably should skip it.

shareIronically, for a show about geniuses, you have to turn off half your brain to stomach some of the science part of the show. It's no mythbusters, it doesn't deal in facts, but if you're able to imagine that the show is actually based on an alternate reality where physics behave differently than our own, then you'll be able to enjoy it.

I started it about a month ago, got about 9 episodes left of S2 before I'm all caught up. Like the previous poster said if you are gonna like it it'll be because of the interactions of the characters, they are likable and have solid chemistry.
The plots are beyond ridiculous. I watch a wide variety of shows, from Game Of Thrones, to Gotham, Arrowverse, Modern Family and so on. I watch a lot of shows. This is the kind of show where it's harmless fun. You aren't gonna be glued to the screen like an episode of GoT, but it's an easy way to kill 40 minutes. If you liked shows like Chuck/Leverage you'd probably like this.
What a horrible insult to both Chuck and Leverage.
shareTo be honest I agree, I'm all caught up now on Scorpion and if I'm being honest with myself there was times in that second season I was struggling to watch. I just wasn't enjoying it. So I take back my original post. Chuck and Leverage are on a different level to this show.

shareIt's a light action comedy, if you like that kind of thing. Not too harrowing or violent. Fine for kids. The biggest problem, it that the writers are not anywhere near the IQ class of the characters. This means, if your own IQ is above 100, it is best watched with your brain turned off, or vegetative. Alternatively, you can watch to pick out all the logic, knowledge and plot errors. For some, that will be more enjoyable than watching the show.
I thought it was cancelled, but just saw a commercial for it this fall and dropped by the page to verify. I wouldn't have missed it much, but I'm glad it's back. It's good to tape (I know, its not tape anymore) and watch when I'm in a blah mood.
the premise is pretty good, but like previous posters have said, i don't watch it for the intelligent and realistic plot..
it's entertainment. lots of hollywood computer hacking and common-guy-turned-government-secret-agent type action.
there's some good characters and the acting is this and that. i wouldn't admit in public, that i watch this show :D
