They must be planning some kind of big reveal for them to be dragging it out like this. I've always liked Happy and I love Toby but I'm confused by her attitude toward him about this issue. She says she loves him and that he should trust her to get the marriage situation taken care of but she won't answer the simple question that he keeps asking her... who is this guy? How would Happy feel if the situation were reversed? Somehow I don't think she'd take it lightly that Toby was 1) married and 2) never once even hinted about that very important detail.
I think it is going to be someone we know. I am almost thinking Walter since he seemed to be in on it with her. He also made a comment about " the Happy iv'e known for 7 years.
shareThat would be a real bombshell but Walter wouldn't have kept it secret like Happy did. It's probably going to end up not being that big a deal but there will lasting repercussions for Toby due to Happy not being honest with him.
If the writers did that, then we'd have another crisis since Paige would feel betrayed.
shareI was thinking the same thing about Walter, lovedml, especially when they slipped in that comment about being friends with Happy for 7 years (and learning how to pick locks from her). I was thinking why mention the length of time they've known each other? And isn't she supposed to be pretty young, like early twenties? That would suggest she was still a minor when they met, and marrying Walter could have gotten her out of the foster care system or similar trouble.
However, I hope it's not Walter, as he's on shaky enough ground with everyone right now.
I think she is older than early twenties for sure. Marriage had to have been for a business purpose. Maybe getting into a certain college or like someone else here said to get out of foster care .....
shareWalter is in on it. In the premiere he said to Happy 'unless you want Toby to find out who your husband really is.'

@lovedml: Good job! And I stand corrected on saying that there's no way Walter could keep something like that a secret. You guessed right, my friend, and are hereby awarded a U-Dog and as many condiments as you can pile onto it.
I don't know. I think we're supposed to be all a buzz about it and fall into guessing games. But i'm just annoyed like Toby is.

I think it's Walter, but not for love or anything, probably for immigration or something since he's supposedly from Ireland, or some other logical necessity type thing like health insurance, but I think she doesn't want to say because they already stressed last season that Tobey feels inferior to Walter and then Walter made that comment that Tobey would freak out if he knew. Plus it would make sense that Conners or Collins (or whatever his name is) would know since he was apart of the original group back in the day with Happy and Walter.
shareC'mon...one phone call to ICE and this would not be an issue. After all, Walter has saved the world and the USA multiple times. One call from the president and problem solved!
On the other hand, there goes the fake suspense...😞
I'm waiting for Toby to hack into the IRS or get access to Happy's W2 form. She's married and she would have to file a joint statement. Her husband's name would have to be listed on her taxes.
One other thing to consider. Think about Toby's relationship with Walter. They've butted heads/argued etc. Now Toby is helping Walter try to win Paige. How will Toby react/feel when he realizes that Walter 1) has known her husband 2) has been BLOCKING Toby's efforts to find Happy's husband?
Big conflict on the horizon. Wait for the storm.
Actually it's perfectly fine to file as 'Married filing separately' if for some reason you want to file two separate returns.
