Walter's Sister

Did anyone else notice that Walter's sister's death is barely even a footnote this season. She is hardly ever mentioned. Sylvester mentioned something about raising money for some kind of memorial to her, but he doesn't even seem sad about her death. You would think that if the love of your life died, there would be some sort of grieving period. I dunno. Between this and the baby storyline, I am about done with this show.

I never liked that story line.

It seemed so unnecessary and forced and ultimately lead to...nothing. Ontop of that it took Sly away from the main group for to many missions. All around it just wasent good.

I don't know. I kinda liked it and I am not a huge fan of a lot of hetero relationships in TV shows now but I don't understand why this show invented a sister for Walter only to have her killed off 'cause I can't find anything on the internet about the real Walter having a sister who died.

I actually thought, at the time, it was a corollary to Walter and Paige's journey. What made it interesting was that Sylvester, a man with known psychological problems--his germaphobia and OCD tendencies--found love and brief happiness with another person, and another person who was not a genius, at that. I thought it rather underscored the depth of Walter's social dis-ease and inability to relate to, communicate with, and empathize with the rest of the world.

We're seeing the backlash of that with the whole Tim and Paige scenario. Walter can absolutely act like a dick, but he is probably the least adapted of all the Scorpion team. Not that that gives him a free pass to be a jerk, but....sometimes he *seems* normal, but he is so many more steps away from normal than he seems.

I *think*. I'm not sure of anything anymore. They keep changing the game. Was that a goal or a home run? What are we playing again????

No, David. No one is happy in a poodle skirt and a sweater set.
