Too far fetched

Out of boredom I am binge watching the show starting from the first episode. It's quite far fetched. The usage of the name genius as another species makes me cringe. Paige is a hindrance to the team and her presence just does not make sense. With her smarts and leadership skills, the best she could do was to be a waitress? The situations the team gets themselves into and the methods they use to solve the problems are unrealistic, borderline ludicrous.

You will tell me get over it and that it is a TV show. But... The show claims to be "inspired by" a real person and a real team. It bothers me that they make this claim. This marketing tool is so heavy handedly used that it feels like it's "based on" a real person.

And Happy's voice is unbearable.

I will stop ranting now.

No... it's stupid.

Think of it like a drinking game except you'd pass out in 15 min if you drank every time they did something stupid.

Whatcha doing on this board then? Go watch another show...

actor of the main character is annoying as hell, and less likeable than Sheldon Cooper, but Cabe and Sly are keeping me here.

OP's right, there's a lot of BS on the show's writing. but even SG-1 and TNG had some really horrible episodes. i'd say if you can't take any criticism of your favourite show, you shouldn't be on the internet... but then i'm not you.

For the same reason that Captain Kirk went rushing into danger on every planet. He's the star of the show.😀

I totally agree with you that Walter shouldn't be doing these things. He was hired for his brains, not his brawn!

Gene Roddenberry got the same flak for constantly putting Kirk and Spock, the Captain AND First Officer in danger week after week. He said he knew that the Captain of a ship would not be putting himself in danger. He delegates. But Shatner and Nimoy were the stars of the show and they had to be front and center of most episodes. Even though, it was foolish for Kirk to take his First Officer, Chief Engineer and Chief Medical Officer on so many dangerous missions. That's what Away Teams are for. But they didn't think of it until TNG. LOL

In keeping with that, the Scorpion team should be doing all the planning and thinking and not putting themselves in physical danger. But then they'd have to hire about three more actors and everyone seems to hate Tim anyway!
