Year-long drought? I wish!
But seriously, the accents. Jaysus!
Not to mention the idea of 'Pattern Day' effectively died out 100 years ago. Then again, considering this show is based on the so-called life of a man who is a complete fake (hacked NASA in 1988? There was no internet in Wexford in 1988, certainly not anything reliable enough to hack NASA!) it's no surprise that the show is one mistake after another. For a show about a self-declared genius group they get an awful lot wrong. Connecting wirelessly to a falling fighter jet only once it gets within 200 metres, starting the engine and THEN getting it to fly again before it covers the distance? Yeah right, do the math on that one Sly!!
shareDefinitely no internet in Wexford, Wicklow (where I'm from) or the country in '88. There's no proof of the hack, and his so-called 197 IQ hasn't been certified by Mensa.
But what annoys me the most are the awful Oirish accents. His childhood friends have an Ulster accent, yet they're supposed to be from Leinster. Arrgh!
