They might be working on making Paige unnecessary so Katharine McPhee can leave the show. That is only my suspicion but Paige is sure doing (trying to do) less for Walter. If Paige is successful then she might not be needed on the team.

share^THIS^ I agree, she's blaming Walter b/c Tim chose that job but Tim even told Walter it had nothing to do w/him, that was the scene when Walter was apologizing to Tim and he assured Walter that he wanted the job b/c he would be running his OWN team but Tim even told Walter that Scorpion already has a great team but it was time for him to go take this new job. I especially agree w/carrie45 if it wasn't for Walter, then Paige would still be waiting tables. Now she doesn't want to help Walter which is part of her job b/c she's upset Tim left and is blaming Walter.
***SIDE NOTE: I think b/c of the RL break up it maybe hard for them to work around each other; I heard when they broke up they still loved each other but couldn't make it work - whatever that means. Hollywood dating???
