Get rid of Paige ....PLEASE!

I'm so sick of this woman, if it wasn't for Walter she wouldn't have this "cushy" gov't job and will STILL be working as a waitress. Yeah Tim/Walter had problems, but deep down as much as Tim cares for Paige and her son - he REALLY wanted to take that job b/c Tim KNEW that the Scorpion would always be something he never felt belonged. I'm so sick of Paige and wish that she would just disappear b/c she's an ungrateful witch. Paige knows Walter has problems w/showing his "feelings" and/or is "anti-social" - isn't this why she took the job to help the other team members of Scorpion to be "normal and sociable"? Anyway, Walter NEVER knew how to approach his feelings for Paige and eventually missed his "marker" b/c she started dating Tim, who I always had mixed feelings about but really its not Tim I had a problem w/its been Paige the WHOLE time. Paige sorry but Tim wanted that job but you are being led to believe he took it b/c of Walter and Tim's problems which btw was basically resolved b/c Tim TOLD Walter "it wasn't you who is making me take the job, I WANT to take the job on my own", well wish Paige would get that thru her ungrateful head, Tim left b/c he CHOSE to take that job b/c it has more action and he would be running his OWN team as well.. Sorry so long - sick of Paige. Look Walter has so many faults and blames as well I am not giving him a free pass but Paige is just making it like its ALL Walter's fault that Tim left when in reality it isn't.

McPhee is the only reason to watch this show. It is so corny and absurd it's annoying. The whole romance portions are lame too, but at least it started with it, and didn't try to bring up romance later in the series.

The show is silly, but she is currently one of the absolute beauties currently on TV. Considering her past, I'm actually surprised at her acting. She must work hard at it.

I'm fine with Paige but her mother HAS to go!

reply

The mother is more likeable than Paige. I'm a McPhee fan but have to agree with other posters, the Paige character has become insufferable.

Don't you think that is because of the writing?

You got your wish.

Oops! Never mind.

Sooo,, They gave her a job, that was better than what she had,, and that means she is obligated to have a relationship with Walter.. Is that what your saying ? Everybody that gets a better job is required to sleep with their boss.. As to her character on the show.. meh,, but then Walter is even more meh.. Walter and Paige don't entertain me.. the rest of the characters are more interesting.. If they both blew up trying to defuse a bomb and the show had to go on without them, it would be the same level of interesting.. and perhaps even more interesting.

No just saying that she isn't doing her job anymore when it comes to helping Walter, she basically said "throwing him into the deep-end"; well her job description was to help the Scorpion team w/that "social interactions' but now Paige is deciding to no longer help Walter b/c of the personal reason which was Tim, who btw decided to leave on his own; he even told Walter (when Walter apologized to Tim for acting like a prick towards him) he told Walter that he has a great team and that he will be running his own team and doing what he loves to do. Paige is just acting like a b!tch towards Walter and hell to the no I don't ever want Paige/Walter to reunite -NEVER. I would love for Walter to meet a new person.

If that's the reason, then it seems like you have a problem with the writing, not Paige.

Plus, I'd be surprised if Paige's "Let Walter sink or swim" attitude will be the way the writers continue going.

I think the writers/showrunners are taking it in a direction where Walter and Paige come to a compromise as to how much Paige will actively help Walter -- although currently Paige believes she IS helping Walter by not holding his hand through every situation (i.e., making him think for himself on a social level).

Paige isn't the problem. It's the poorly-designed "will they/won't they" tripe they're trying to do on the show. Clearly the writers and producers fear the Moonlighting Curse, which has much power these days as the curse of the Billy Goat on the Cubs.

Too many shows think putting the two main characters together will spell doom, but more often than not, it isn't the case. It worked for Cheers, The Big Bang Theory, Friends (at least Chandler and Monica did), Chuck, and God knows how many other shows.

You are way, way too emotionally invested in this - Please remember it's just a TV show
