Thor is technically not human. He is a very powerful alien life form. Throughout the previous films, he takes massive force that would kill a human a dozen times over. His losing an eye might have hurt him for a short period of time, but he recovers very quickly.

As for losing an eye, we didn't see him have time to process it. He lost it in the middle of a war, and FYI if you don't want to lose a war and see everyone you love destroyed, then you stifle your feelings and keep fighting, and if you inherit a monarchy in the middle of the war then you damn well stifle your feelings some more and think of your people's welfare even if you lose one of your favorite body parts. And then... you probably do what Thor did in the "Infinity Wars" movie, and have a breakdown when things are no longer in crisis mode.
