What is the song in the trailer?
Thanks if you let me know that.
shareIt's Led Zeppelin and they used it SO well in the trailer.
the way the bass line builds up and then just as Robert Plant screams, you see Cate in her antlers.
BOW DOWN
holy shit
there should be an Oscar just for trailers
The song is still in my head. They edited it very well. While technically a 70s song, the trailer did a good job getting us into that 1980s vibe. I heard this will be a buddy movie w/ Thor and Hulk, like the MCU version of 48 Hours/Lethal Weapon.
shareSame with guardians with the song chain by Fleetwood and surrender.
shareWatching the trailer in the theater, you get the full impact of the song and everything. I hope whoever cut it got a big, fat bonus. For a second it go me excited for a Thor movie! For a second...
share"Whoever cut it"?
Led Zeppelin- one of the biggest bands of all time, and the guys who practically single-handedly invented Heavy Metal as a genre.
..Joe
This is one instance where a song actually elevates a movie trailer. Needles to say, this immediately became of my favorite uses of a classic rock song (or any song for that matter) in a trailer. Simply a perfect choice that was utilized very well.
shareIt's so perfect for a Thor movie that I am surprised it's never been used before, actually. It has "hammer of the gods" as a lyric. Kids might even think the song was written for the movie, not 40 years ago.
shareIndeed. Perhaps the main reason they chose to use this song in the trailer was for the “hammer of the gods” line alone, but the whole vibe of the song feels so fitting for this movie and Thor in general.
It’s great.
