Loki froze him in the first film, and he gave himself up in the second film. As the guardian of Asgard he deserves more.
He should go all out in this, hopefully an epic fight against the Underworld.

I came to this board to say the same thing. He has been underutilized. I remember walking away from the first movie thinking he was one of the best characters. Something very otherworldly about him, more so than anyone else (frost giants included). He was also part of my favorite scene, as he watches across space and sees Thor failing to lift Mjolnir. That was just a beautiful moment. Him taking down that ship in Thor 2 was also pretty damn cool.
