Just curious to see what Banner's role in the movie will be if most of it takes place away from earth... How could Banner be of any use to Thor unless Thor just wants the hulk to aid him, but Hulk is an uncontrollable monster and the two had a brutal fight in the first avengers. Why would Banner have anything to do with this story, other than for the character to be more present in the MCU?

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
I'm really hoping that his role is very minor as I was not excited in the least to hear that he was going to be apart of this movie.
shareHe's been an uncontrollable monster in the past, but the end of Avengers and most of AoU shows that Banner has some level of control over the Hulk. It's possible that this will be the movie that finally shows Banner assuming an almost complete control, with an intelligent Hulk form.
