Hope not to much planet hulk

Planet hulk is such a flawless comic run. It needs to be its own thing and not secondary to another character

I think there can be many elements of Planet Hulk with the Hulk in the film, but not like literal plot points because it is a Thor movie.

I don't think there will be considering the length of time Mark Ruffalo spent working on the film (or lack thereof). My guess it the first 1/2 hour of the film will be a version of Planet Hulk, similar to the first 1/2 hour of Return of the Jedi.

Ruffalo's brief filming time could be because 99% of the film will feature a CGI intelligent Hulk.

Captain America:Civil War 1B+ fine print: RDJ @ 40M, Spidey, Black Panther, Ant-Man, 99% of Avengers

The movie seems like it will be jammed pack, has to be in the 135min range. Thor looking for Odin with help from Dr.Strange, possible that is when Hulk is found. We have all those villains and possibly the soul stone being involved.

I don't think Hulk will be around much, 30min.

I wish they would just give the Hulk his own movie already. Yes I know the Incredible Hulk technically starts the MCU, but I don't like to count it cause of him being a different actor.

reply

No it is because Universal has his rights for a solo. Marvel can only use him in team ups but any Hulk solo needs to involve Universal.

reply

Which just means Disney will make a deal with Universal similar to what they did with Paramount when they bought Marvel Studios.

Because of that, Marvel won't be releasing a solo Hulk film until they can be sure it will be a hit at the level of at least Iron Man 2: having to shell out money to Universal if the film is going to perform like the first two solo Hulk outings simply isn't worth it to Disney.

Yeah thats BS I want to see Hulk fight The Leader in his own movie.

Marvel almost never straight up copies a comic to the movies. Look at Civil War, loosely inspired by the comic but not very similar at all. I suspect this will be the same, but on a smaller scale.

reply

Plus this is a Thor movie first. It should feel like one.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

reply

I think you should welcome it. The MCU is not situated to do a direct adaptation of Planet Hulk any more than they were in position to do a direct adaptation of Civil War.
