This was good, why they stopped?
Any news on a season 2?
NBC wasn't satisfied with the show's ratings. There will be an animated spin-off/sequel on CW Seed: http://comicbook.com/2017/01/08/constantine-picked-up-by-the-cw/.

Thanks for the info.
Hopefully Swamp Thing appears.
This is way better than that 2005 film with Keanu Reeves. I didnt like that movie.
shareNope. Movie is a lot better, then the TV-SHow. Cuz the movie is based on a Vertigo Story line, called "Dangerous Habits". And not forget, the peronality of Reeves Constantine is like the Comics. A chainsmoking, cynical jerk. The TV-Show on the other hand, its just based on the New 52 crap which is toned down and kid friendly.
shareIf the Constantine movie had been a straight-up adaptation of "Dangerous Habits" then it might have been exceptional. But it wasn't. Too many compromises starting with Keanu Reeves as Constantine-in-name-only (American; too-young; altered backstory). If you changed the names, you would never know it was based on the Hellblazer comic.

Bane:
Obviously you never watched the show, because the TV series wasn't kid-friendly at all---it was very downbeat and very graphic at times---this was nothing for little kids to watch. It was a show for adults, plain and simple. I'm thinking the show would have lasted lot longer if it was on cable or on Netflix or Hulu---I think the only reason NBC took a big chance on it was because Grimm had been so successful for them, and the way they promoted it, it was obvious that they wanted it to be their next hit. It probably would have been, except that it was on Friday nights----leaving on Thursdays (when NBC first debuted the pilot) would have helped it a lot more, I think. At least NBC let the whole season run through, without cutting it off and leaving viewers hanging, like they're done with some shows.
And frankly, the movie sucked. It came off like your generic, predictable, Hollywood demon-hunter flick with way too much CGI substituting for character development---nothing unique or different about it, and the Constantine character as played by Keanu Reeves wasn't even that interesting of a character anyway. Which is probably why it flopped. Heck, the only characters I recall as being even remotely interesting were JC's sidekick, playing by a young, funny, and animated Shia LeBeouf, and Papa Midnight, played by an imposing Djimon Hounsou. The TV series was taken straight from the original Constantine comics, and the character as played by Matt Ryan (who killed it in the role) was a hell of a lot more interesting, fun and funny and more true to the character than the movie was. Dude didn't just play Constantine, he WAS Constantine, period! And it's currently on DVD, for anyone who wants it. Get it while supplies last, lol!

Well, they were airing the show on Fridays. Not a lot of people are not watching it.
