Henry Morgan is written older than his suggested age.
This is nitpicking but while watching through this show again, he really doesn't strike me as a man that's 200 years old. That's really not that much time. Just a few mortal lifetimes. And yet he has incredibly old fashioned view points and far too much of an immediate knowledge of history, much of it older than the Victorian Era he hails from. He's written very much more like the Highlander, as if he were a thousand years old. I know he's a smarty pants Sherlock type of character, but the show doesn't present his wisdom as if derived in a scholarly manner. But rather as if he was there.
