Vote for Ioann Gruffudd

E! has started its Best drama actor/actress poll:
http://ca.eonline.com/news/665203/best-ever-tv-awards-2015-officially-begin-vote-for-the-best-actor-and-actress-in-a-drama-now

I know these polls don't really matter, but it helps with publicity and getting more attention. We still have hope. 😊

I must've voted at least 500 times. I'm sure I would've done a lot more if it wasn't for those annoying captcha images. Grrr. haha

How funny....Ioan is slowly climbing. At 30.8. Yesterday is was 30.5. Keep voting.

Blimey, the "Outlander" fans are well organised! Bizarre to see the lead woman from that so high in the voting, when surely the only possible contender in that category is Tatiana Maslany. Is "Outlander" really that good?! I haven't heard a single good thing said about it.

I'm sooooo bad tenement-funster I own it but I have not watched it yet. I bought it out of desperation for a good series to watch but just haven't don't it. I've heard good thing but I don't know. I've had other thing come up but still. EVEN if I loved it I'd still vote for Ioan. LOL I believe in Ioan and Forever. But he's moving up. 31.1

It's not my kind of thing, so I've not paid much attention to it - I don't do romance!

Impressed that Ioan's beating the "Supernatural" pair though. In years gone by, they were the ones with the mad fandom that couldn't be bested.

Hmmmm I don't know what my kind of thing is...LOL Well I do love historical stuff and period stuff. I like a lot of British stuff so I'm guessing I would like it. I watched all the Sherlock's which were good. I didn't think I'd like them but I did. Loved The Musketeers and Doctor Who. I loved Turn so I'm thinking about getting Sons of Liberty. Biggest surprise I found was Life on Mars. REALLY loved it so I bought Ashes to Ashes which isn't as good. OK but not as good. Right now I don't have anything I'm into so I may give Outlanders a chance. BUT again I just got done watch Turn soooo I wouldn't mind watching Sons of Liberty. I did buy a PBS Documentary on the American Revolution but alas instead I keep putting Forever on as I do other stuff....sniff sniff wipe away tear. I so miss it. I have given up on prime time TV. ANYONE else got some suggestion of good stuff to watch??? I'm up for some suggestions!

You must try "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell"! It should be starting reasonably soon, as I know that Bertie Carvel is over there at the moment to promote it on BBC America. Some people found episode one a bit slow, but it's just got better and better, and is absolutely superb storytelling. The book is fab too, obviously, but I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, as it's a bit meandering.

You know I watched it from on demand and got side tracked so I have to try again. GOD I think I put it on when I was sick as a dog. I would have like to die. So I'll try it again. GOD nothing like that feeling when you come across a show that you can't stop watching.

reply

I love The Musketeers too. You can try Poldark, I've read good reviews about it.

I'm sure you've all seen it, but I still ask to be sure, have you seen Horatio Hornblower series? It's a historical marine series of 8 TV movies starring our own Ioan. 😍

...

Also I recommend Peron of Interest and The Blacklist for those who enjoy trilling shows with super intelligent characters and excellent actions.

As for Outlander, aside from the love and nude of the show, I've heard it's really sad, like depressing sad. I wouldn't put my precious fun time on being sad and annoyed for a show, even if I loved love and nude! 😒

LOL You have KNOW idea how I love Hornblower. I even read all the books and I don't normal read fiction. I read a lot of historical stuff. Right now I'm reading about Elisabeth York. I got into globs pretty early but Hornblower got me into those sailing ships so I have those around my house. Have hour glasses. Old looking glass. That stuff REAL amazes me. Just to get into those big ships that depend on the wind and go across the seas. I couldn't do it so I find it really neat. From Hornblower I went to pirates...LOL I have Black Sail from my brother but he didn't like it so I haven't watched it yet..LOL

Poldark hasn't stared here. I think it starts Sunday so I'm ALL happy about that. I have to look at the otters you mention.

Romance is not my thing either. I hardly watch anything romantic, for me romance is good as long as it stays as a very small and side SL.
I'm one the fans who didn't/don't want for Henry and Jo to get romantically involved, I prefer their chemistry as close friends and colleague.

I'm impressed about the poll's result too, maybe Supernatural and Vampire fans are kinda tired by the disappointing writing. I'm a Supernatural fan and I've lost my passion b/c of it. No matter how good the stars are, when they have to work with terrible writers and showrunners, the result wouldn't be satisfying. Fortunately our Forever is excellent in both acting and writing, hopefully some network will realize what a true art it is. 😊
