"it`s a long story"

and he does not have to tell everything the truth. He might said the guy in the pic was his great grandfather, an uncle or perhaps his father or he is learning photoshop as a new hobby LOL

Bit of a spoiler don't you think? The u.s doesn't get it until tonight.

my sugguestion if anyone is afraid of spoiler, don't even look at IMDB :)

Exactly right. They haven't seen the show yet so they head right over here and get spoiled and can't stop whining and crying about it. If you don't want to get spoiled, stay away from IMDb message boards until you have seen the show, any show.

reply

I saw the episode last night. I was the first person to make a post about however I had enough respect to put a warning.

There are threads here about things other than the episode that people are already conversing in. It's pretty rude and ignorant to expect them to stop their ongoing conversation because your to lazy to put up a warning.

reply

Well now it is already shown on USA.....should we always put a warning as I am sure that it has not been shown on a major parts of the world or maybe no need anymore as it is already shown in USA as USA has special privilege? The networks on the other parts of the world of course also paid the production house as to air the show so their audiences should recieved the same treatment as the one on USA :) Damned!!! from now on every threads should put a warning if we believe in equal rights for everyone in the world :)

reply

But who goes on a imdb messageboard thinking that they are not going to be spoiled? If you haven't seen the last episode, don't go on the message board.

reply

Yes but this was posted before it premiered in the u.s. Canada gets it a day early but not everyone knows that. Why would someone expect spoilers about an episode they don't know premiered yet?

reply

If someone hasn't seen the show yet, how would they know that a thread entitled "It's a long story" is about the finale? They might think it has something to do with an episode they've already seen or a general discussion of some point of the show...until they read the posts and find out, too late, that it's about an episode they haven't yet seen.

That's why..if you're going to make a thread about episodes that not everyone has seen, it's polite to give a heads-up by either including the word "spoiler" in the title or use a specific title...like "this is about the finale."

reply

then don't even look at IMDB for GHOST shake lol :) Almost every threads nowsaday must put a spoiler then since I am very sure this show has not even reached the finale in almost other parts of the world.

the "" in the title "it `s a long story" already implied it was taken from a dialogue in an episode and if anyone haven't heard the dialogue....just stay out from it.....if anyone are not smart enough to see it....well.....it is impolite to blame someone for they themselves are not smart enough :)

And funny enough, many like to make big deal on this one as I see if anyone haven't watched the finale would not sure what pic I am talking about :)

reply

I had ridiculous people get very upset when I "gave away" the twists in episodes of The Twilight Zone. Apparently, we're obliged to put spoiler warnings even for 50-year-old shows as long as there's so much as one person out there hasn't seen the show.

reply

He could have stonewalled her, sure. But she made it pretty clear to him even before finding his watch (again) and the old photo, that she had had it with him lying to her ("Get out of the car, Henry").

And Abe wants Henry to connect with someone. He knows he's only got a few more years, and worries that Henry's obsession with ending his life, coupled with losing his wife and child, might send him over the edge.

reply

Spoiler aside I think Lucas is more trustworthy to learn his secret.
He was closer to Henry then Jo despite what you might believe.
And he would be far more susceptible to the truth.

Anyway the odds are that it's canceled so who gives a FUCΚ for these fictional characters no one will remember.

in fact I think the story ends well in this way. If There is a season 2 and Henry uses those answers and jo seemed to accept it perhaps well not 100% it might make the show looks like a teenie weenie soap opera.

reply

He could've gotten away with that if Abe hadn't been standing behind him telling him to tell Jo the truth.

I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.- Lucille Ball

reply

Abe wouldn't allow it. He's been trying to get Henry to tell Jo for a while.

Besides, she deserves to know. She also deserves to know why Henry's been acting crazy for the last couple of episodes.

I'll be sad if there's no season two...

reply

The whole season finale implied that Abe will make Jo the new anchor for Henry. When Henry said "It's a long story", he is going to tell the truth. The whole truth, nothing but the truth.

reply

It has not crossed my mind that he will tell her. My very first thought was he would say it was a relative.

reply

Meh, I'm figuring the truth, most of the truth, but nothing but truth. There are some things I think Henry would still omit.

reply

I think she deserved the truth as well.

If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now.-Loki (Marvel's Avengers)

reply

Jo can tell when he's lying now. He doesn't have to tell her, but it will change their relationship. Henry has to decide what he's comfortable with, and what he's willing to give up.

How I wish there was another show to wait for -- what is with the little girl and her invisible friend? Is this the replacement starting next week? BTW, the Ft. Hamilton subway stop is in Brooklyn, not the Canal Street station at the end , which is in Manhattan.

Its ratings have been so low comparatively speaking, that the chances of this show being renewed are close to zero. I wish that wasn't so. This is the most fun I have had with a new show since the first season of House.

What's odd is, this is the best a show has done in this specific time slot for ABC for a very long time. Maybe they should consider better marketing if they wan a show to do better.

Fox has a coming show that everyone died woke up and lives in a strange place and can't leave. A lot of Academy Award winners and nominees in the show.
