JOIN ME IN A CAMPAIGN TO RETURN FOREVER

Is there any other series on Network television with ratings like FOREVER that is being given the old heave ho? I seriously doubt it nor has this happened since the demise of Star Trek! I don't think we should take this lying down.

Why not contact abc and let them know that we as a faithful viewing public need FOREVER and with ratings like there have been consistently, there is no reason to kill it now. One more would be wonderful...especially now that Jo knows the secret!

There are very few quality programs on now, and this makes the picking even less. Don't shoot yourselves in the foot! This program is too valuable to loose!

Please, Please, Please! Give us at least another year!

I know a lot of folks who are disappointed that it's been cancelled. I really loved the show, it was very entertaining without tons of sex, violence or constant swearing. Something the whole family could watch together

Actually the ratings for the show weren't very good, that's the reason it was cancelled. The show has a very loyal, and very passionate fan base, but unfortunately its a rather small fan base.

The number of respondents for the rating score was the same for the shows that were kept. So, that is inaccurate. This is some sort of dispute between Sony and abctv?

It actually did better than CASTLE which is staying.

You need to stop focusing on ratings. EVERYONE has to stop focusing exclusively on ratings. Ratings are becoming less and less meaningful. More meaningful is the bottom line, which includes (but isn't limited to) video on demand, social networking and DVD/Blu-Ray sales.

If you want the real reason for Forever's demise, look toward the production companies.

Forever was produced by Warner Television. (Not Sony. Don't know where you got Sony from.)

Castle is produced by ABC Studios.

There's a considerable cost savings between having an in-house production, and paying outside production companies.

So, with everything being equal, similar rating between Forever and Castle, still meant Forever was the more expensive show.

If you look at all the shows people are complaining about that got renewed (Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Blackish, Castle, Galavant), they are *all* ABC Studios productions.

Thank you for the insightful reply. I will contact Warner, too. There is a petition that has been signed and I have signed that and will post it here as well. I looked at all the list you posted that have been renewed. Some I like some I don't.

And just for the record, I was sad when then cancelled Forever. I think it deserved another season.

But I do recognize Disney's position. If they can create a show just as popular in-house, they'll do it. It gives them both creative and intellectual property rights, rather than just licensing those rights from other studios.

(Another example coming is the new Muppet Show. Owned, produced and distributed by Disney. Complete ownership and control, with relatively lower costs since the entire show will be produced by Disney owned companies.

Galavant first and foremost is hilarious. Second, it cost nearly nothing to make, of course it would get a second season.

Well, we all have different taste. I didn't find it entertaining, but I'm glad that it was renewed for the people that did enjoy it.

Can't believe that horrible Agent Carter got renewed and Forever was cancelled. I gave up on Agent Carter after it continued to be boring and dry in the second episode.

I liked Agent Carter, but I also love Marvel and the feel of the show taking place in the 40s/50s. It's also just a mini-series that fills in the time when Agents of Shield is on break. So honestly, it wouldn't have taken the place of Forever or any full series.

Personally, I think ABC all the long wanted to develop something else in Forever's place. it wasn't like the show was highly promoted to start with. Ever since it's debut, ABC treated this show like it was filler material.

And as for low ratings, People tend to forget that Family Guy wasn't exactly a hit in the ratings game, and it came back. M*A*S*H was another show that did terrible in the ratings year one, and once the network found the right time slot, it went on to greatness.

ABC did nothing with Forever, and that is partly why the ratings were what they were. But if we're lucky, maybe SYFY will give the show a chance. Personally, If Fox made this the lead in for Waverly Pines, it would be a smash hit ratings wise.

I was shocked to hear this show isn't being continued. It is a wonderful show. My 11 year old son and I love to watch it together. It is entertaining and the little snippets of history in the flash backs are interesting. Henry shows that there is a way of life without having to be online most of the day.

Whoever is in charge needs to rethink their decision please. If I can sign the petition I will. Cheers from Australia.

There are campaigns on Twitter and Facebook to get Hulu, Netflix or TNT to pick it up. Writing to ABC won't help. Matt Miller, the creator, is shopping it around

I've signed the petitions. Contacted Abc to tell them what morons they are, but not to ask them to renew it. I contacted Warner bros for them to shop it around. I've called Netflix. I've done every thing I can think of. #saveforever

This show is wonderful! I cannot believe you would cancel it and renew stale programs like Castle, and all of the idiot 'comedy' programs that you continue to rubbish the television with. Forever had an excellent, fresh and unique storyline that was well developed with depth that few programs have - all while not having to resort to nudity or sexuality, which it seems most shows float on these days. I implore you to renew Forever for a second season.

It is hard to imagine not seeing another season for a storyline so well written and so well performed by the actors who are so beautifully suited to the characters they play. Hard to imagine we won’t get to see a second season opener and the evolution of the story once Jo finds out Henry’s secret.

Why is ratings used, when there is no system anymore, and yes do know that as fact from 2 who have worked within those companies. Its those with mega $$$$ that control what is put out there, which is a main reason reality crap is being pushed. Other shows are still out also because of connections of sorts...and we, well some anyway wonder why people have shorter attention spans than the goldfish.

If it "aint bleedin and go go go and nothin much more but", and those with the $$$$, control and how we think is where they seem to want us, and I for one dont like. Believe was cancelled, now Forever is seeming to be...

strangely, know of only 1 who did not mind a couple of the reality crap shows and even then tired of it, but is seems those who think we want the crap, have louder voices and $$$$ standing behind them to keep the crap going...did that make sense?

I HATE REALITY CRAP, want real shows with real actors/actresses...signed and sent to others, though because of some things i know, holding onto hope is trying, because it worked, of a sort 1 time, there were changes after that, so somehow if something could work around those changes and really work to get Forever back...esp if really was cancelled...

Live life to be alive...and may your day be well or find one thing that gives you that little extra, even just a 😄

The reason the ratings weren't good is because most people have never heard about it, or are just discovering it. My daughter and I just watched the last episode and we love it. We like to find series to watch, and she had remembered seeing a couple of commercials a few months ago, but had never seen it. We found it on youtube and just finished watching the last five episodes on Comcast.

Just like us more and more people will start hearing about it and watch it. Netflix should really pick this up. I don't want to talk about the show, because I don't want to screw it up for people just finding it. I will say it's addicting, it pulls you in, and does a wonderful job with the storyline, characters and their relationships.

Too true! There are some of us who are writing to NETFLIX hoping that they will pick it up. If you are a NETFLIX customer...or not, you can give them a suggestion and it may just help. To to their website like a lot of us have and pull their chain! Good luck, we need it if we are going to try to keep GOOD programming! Thank you for the shout out!

Rubbish it the word! We have to live with trash. Many of us who subscribe to NETFLIX have been going to their chat and giving them a big suggestion to add FOREVER to their streaming and a new season would be the perfect addition to their family viewing! If you happen to be a netflix viewer, Please give it a shot. The more the better!
