shareDanielle is clearly not very sophisticated or articulate. She went looking for love in the wrong place, fell for the wrong guy, and can't let go. So yes, you could say she brought this on herself. Muhammed went looking for a green card, lied to a vulnerable woman about his feelings for her, entered into a sham marriage despite knowing in advance all about her emotional and financial issues. Then he proceeds to browbeat and emotionally abuse her because she won't help him stay in the country. Her family probably saw much more of this behavior from him than the TV audience sees which is why they hate him so much. I suspect Luisa saw it pretty quickly, and being a stronger woman than Danielle, bailed on him quickly. So who is the villain here?
