Real V.S Fake

Reality tv is just "controlled reality." But let's have fun anyway.

Azan and Nicole: situation seems real. However, I think some fights are edged on by the producers.
Azan wants the green card and seems repulsed by her. I don't blame him. (Sorry jmo.)

Jorge and Anaifsa: seems totally fake. And seems to be getting faker in each episode. The fact that they said they got into a fight and she doesn't even know what it was about seems VERY FAKE to me. Every girl remembers fights with her bf from 2 years ago. They're fighting seems very scripted and it's almost like they're struggling to remember thier lines.

Matt and Amanda: Seems pretty real. I do think they love each other. Althougth I do think these bumps are pretty muched staged.

Mohammad and Danielle: Cmon.
I do think Mohammad is probably asked to speak to her in that manner by the producers. I also think she is being expolited because she's a few fries short of a happy meal.

The Jamaican the Pennsylvian:
I think it's pretty real. Although I do think the fights are staged.
Green card may have been the motive but I do think he loves her.

The Nigerian and the fully figured chick: I smell con artist all the way. I do think he likes her, he is definitely in it for the green card.

What do yall think?

Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway. ;P

My opinions:

Azan and Nicole: real (online, at least) relationship but many staged scenes by the producers such as the desert vacation. His proposal felt pretty staged too. Boy do I hope they do not go ahead with the K1 visa. Another potential DanMo scenario.

Jorge and Anfisa: not sure, you make some good points. However, hard to believe that he would go along with looking such a delusional chump if it weren't for real.

Matt and Alla: Real relationship, although I think the new life is more important to Alla than Matt is. He seems like such a loser. But she is trying.

Narkiya and Lowo: As you say, cmon. She seems like a fairly intelligent woman. You should not marry someone you don't trust and she clearly doesn't trust him, with good reason.

Pedro and Chantel: real relationship, but the whole thing with the lie about his status feels like it was scripted. It just doesn't make any sense otherwise.

Melanie and Devar: Agree with you.

DanMo: She clearly thinks or thought they would have a real marriage. Strictly about the green card for him. I agree that she is being exploited, both by the producers and by him. He just didn't bargain for the hell she would unleash on him with her train wreck of a life and her desperate, manipulative, delusional obsession with him.

I'll add a couple more:

Russ and Paola: headed for divorce court. Were and maybe still are in love, but are too different with conflicting goals to work in the long run.

Kyle and Noon: Will probably move to Thailand. She just doesn't like/feel safe in the US. He seems to have no tie stronger here than the one she has to her family in Thailand. I hope it works out for them.

Loren and Alexei: Fights feel pretty staged. I think they are solid for the long haul.

Brett and Daya: Thought she was sketchy at first, but they seem to be settled in and happy. I hope they are able to have the children that they want.

Azan and Nicole: I do think that he is into her. It seems odd, i know. However, unlike Mo, he seems to want her to share in his culture. He also takes the time to make things special, like the engagement. I think his frustration with her is real. I would have been done already, but he even got the family involved to consel them. My biggst issue here is that he is so disinterested in the fact that she has a kid, and in episode one she referred to him as daddy. You can tell that bothers him, so why they are together is beyond me. Unless you are right, and they are fake.

Jorge and Anaifsa: I see this one as fake. She is so freakin honest about her intentions. Can he really be that desperate or dumb?

Matt and Amanda: I like them. I think it is real. I think he has jerky friends and she is overwhelmed but I think they will make it.

Mohammad and Danielle: This one leaves me speechless. I can see this really happening. She has desperation all over her. And he is really an oppurtunist. I have to wonder if these 2 take the least prompting in negitive situations as they just seem to be a natural disaster.

Devar and Melanie, I like them. I think that they are real, and so I do believe the money problems are staged. I think she really blew through her money to get him here, but I don't think he wants to send as much as they would like us to believe.

The Nigerian and the fully figured chick: I haven't really paid much attention to them, they bore me. I guess because I think this is total BS

I agree about Azan, as strange as it sounds, I think he is into her on some level.

I tend to disagree on Loren and Alexi. They are a pretty couple, but I have a feeling her being a selfish spoiled brat may eventually wear on him.

Devar & Melanie...I don't think they're fake, however, there's a lot about the West Indian culture Melanie failed to find out about. She was so focused on getting Devar to the US and into her bed she failed to know what he is really about. If she forces Devar to choose between her and his family she will lose.

The Nigerian and his fiancé....they are truly boring....he's a joke & she's delusional.

Jorge & Anfisa....fake or not they will never marry. Jorge will be broke before then and he will no longer be useful to Anfisa.

Nicole & Azan...I think it started out real until she showed up at the airport. Azan just seems conflicted. I don't think either one of them want to get married. Nicole just wants to have sex with Azan and be seen in public with a man she considers "hot." Azan just wants Nicole to go home.

Loren & Alex...Loren and her family with return to the US sans Alex.

Mohammed & Danielle...Mohammed thought he was the male version of Anfisa until he found out Danielle was broke. Unfortunately Danielle thought it was real. But then again she probably still believes in the tooth fairy.

Matt & Alla...It was probably real but as soon as Alla hit US soil and met Matt's family she knew there would be problems. They will get married but it won't last.

Kyle & Noon....It was real until Noon decided she did not was to be in the US. Noon needs to go back to Thailand and Kyle needs to go back to New Orleans and pick up where he left off before he knew anything about Noon.

Paola & Russ...Maybe Russ thought it was real but Paola thinks she's too hot for Russ & Oklahoma. I don't know why he brought up Seattle. The only place Paola wants to be is in Miami preferably without Russ.

I've been saying this for years. Most reality shows are fake as hell. They all have directors telling them what to say and when to say it, just to create drama. Without drama, there is no interest, which means no ratings, which means no show. The only 2 truly real reality shows that I can think of off the top of my head are Cops and To Catch a Predator.

Would you watch if they were called unreality shows?

I think these people from the other countries are all would-be actors. Azan and his friend totally look like actors. Their English is perfect.

Look at many of the people coming over here, they get involved in show business eventually.

I know from researching another show on FYI, Married at First Sight that if you dig enough you will find you tube videos and other clips of these people.

Additionally, some of the people from the US look like they are looking for their big break. I find it hard to believe that the girl from Atlanta couldn't find about 50 guys who would knock themselves out to be with her right in Atlanta. I think she is trying to start some type of acting or modeling career.

She is being filmed with her family over an extended period of time, Do you believe the family did not ask any questions about this and just accepted the story she gave them?

So basically I believe the entire concept, the relationships, the drama and everything is scripted and the reason it looks like a reality show is because the people on it are not actors.

My take- and I think all the couples are real but fights and stuff are probably scripted. One of the major things that producers seemed to forget was a situation with Russ and Paola. Actually 2 of them....

Devar & Melanie...seems real, don't think it will last because i think she will always be the bread winner. i think initially he wanted the green card but he did end up having feelings for her.

The Nigerian and his fiancé....i agree that they are boring. she's an idiot for wanting to marry a guy who lied about his child's mother being dead. lol wtf? i think though he is attracted to her but he would go for any woman he is attracted to in order to get that green card.

Jorge & Anfisa....real but won't end up married. i said it once before but jorge is 100% in the wrong with this relationship. she is upfront about everything and his reaction is just saying "oh she's crazy!". i don't think he could even say anything he likes about her aside from her being "sexy". she wants the green card in order to work and figures she might as well get some free crap.

Nicole & Azan...like many have said, it's another damo situation except azan isn't as much of a d**k as Mo. he is so clearly not into her but is trying to like her. the only thing i dont get is it doesnt even seem like he wants to go to the us.

Loren & Alex...will last for awhile but end up in divorce in the end. i dont get the loren backlash. i dont really know why people are going her selfish and everything. the only comment she made that seemed messed up was insulting her parents. i dont think he cares about getting the green card as i think he would rather go back to israel if loren would go.

Mohammed & Danielle...i want to vomit when i see them. he so clearly took advantage of her but she is stupid enough not to really see it. did they even have sex once? i've never seen him be nice to her at all.

Matt & Alla...boring couple. he's strange and i think she is doing the move as a better life for her and her son and hoping it will work with matt. i think there's a pre 1950s thing with them where she is just looking for stability with someone who is financially stable. not saying it's wrong but she views this relationship in the sense of that the relationship could possibly grow after marriage.

Kyle & Noon....the move to thailand thing seems to be for dramatic effect. she could go to thailand on a long visit under 6 months and then return. i think its staged. they are also boring. he might as well move to thailand as he seems to have no reason to stay in the usa. he could get a job bar-tending in thailand due to anglo tourism.

Paola & Russ...Maybe Russ thought it was real

reply

I think they are all "real" as in they didn't enter the K1 process JUST to be on the show. However, they are also fame whores. Some of them are faking the relationship to the other person who totally thinks they are in a real relationship just to get here (Azan is not in a relationship, Nicole is; same with Mohammad and Danielle; Anfisa and Jorge).

Some ARE in a real relationship but are making all the classic immature relationship mistakes (Loren and Alexei, Russ and Paolo, Matt and Alla, Chantel and Pedro).

Some are in real relationships but will be impossible to maintain (no way Kyle stays in Thailand and no way Noon comes back here)

Some I think will make it (Melanie and Devar, Daya and whatever his name is)

Daya needs to learn about flow. Aint nobody can rap in Tagalog or whatever, with it’s weird accent.

Mahal kita
It rhymes with cheetah

or Pat Morita

See, that’s how rapping is done. Just ask Brett.

Definitely agree with your Alla/Matt assessment. I don't think she's necessarily using him for a green card, because I think she does have every intention of making the marriage work. But is she in love with him? No.
