Alla's comforting message to Anifsa proved to me...

..that she is just as dumb as Jorge. I don't get why Anfisa was so upset at how they portrayed her when she obviously has said on numerous occasions that she is only here for the money. Alla's seems to be an opportunist as well. The only difference is Alla is not a jerk about it. Anfisa is uneccessaily mean to Jorge. But it serves Jorge right. He could have found someone a little more "homely" looking and found true love. Instead he wants what he think is eye candy so he kinda deserves it.

And for both of the girls to say it's silly to assume they're are here for the green card is laughable. OF COURSE you here for the green card?? Why marry a guy you're not in love with then?

Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway. ;P

Because everybody think that Jorge is an innocent guy and that Anfisa is taking advantage of him.

Didn't Jorge admit in the finals that he spent $10,000 in a strip club in one day? Yet, when "a woman that he loves" (according to Jorge) asked him to spend that much on a purse, then its a problem?

And for both of the girls to say it's silly to assume they're are here for the green card is laughable. OF COURSE you here for the green card?? Why marry a guy you're not in love with then?

If I remember correctly, both of them said that its ridiculous how Americans assume how everybody's dream is to live in the USA. And I agree with Alla and Anfisa.

At the time, he said he did a lot of foolish things with his money, but now, he's matured somewhat. So, now, he doesn't want to be stupid w/his money. I can totally get that.

... "somewhat" being a key word. This is the same Jorge who's still interested in only big boobs. And he also owns (at least on this tv show) Audi R8 and GMC Yukon Denali, which are worth app. $200,000.

The Yukon is the show's car not his. The car can at least take him places to make money. A purse cannot do a thing for him but satisfy Anfisa for maybe a week -- at best.

Well, he worked for it, and it's his money. Anfisa does nothing and wants everything high end, and if I'm not mistaken, Jorge bought the car to please her.

She, on the other, was not impressed w/the car. Plus, she defaced the SUV and didn't care about who has to pay for it, so I don't see why she would deserve a purse. The cost of repairing that SUV was her purse.

As I mentioned before, Jorge had no problems spending huge amounts of money on dumb things (cars, strippers, etc); yet, its a problem when he needs to spend it on a woman that he supposedly loves? I'm pretty sure that's what Anfisa means when she said in the final episode that TLC is showing only one side of the story because viewers didn't even find out about "$10,000 per day on strippers" until the season finale.

Still, Anfisa stayed. Jorge offered a ticket back home w/some extra cash. She could have taken the extra dough and used it as a down payment.

As I mentioned before, Jorge had no problems spending huge amounts of money on dumb things (cars, strippers, etc); yet, its a problem when he needs to spend it on a woman that he supposedly loves?

The strippers were before Anfisa, and Jorge was young. It was probably the first time he had so much money. That happens all the time. Ask any young professional athlete who got paid big bucks.

Moreover, Jorge probably doesn't see the value in a $10k purse, and it has nothing to do w/how much or little he loves Anfisa.

It doesn't matter if he sees a value or not. The important thing is that she does and the gift is for her. If he truly loves her - he would've bought that for her.

I don't see a value in a $600 Michael Kors jacket, but I bought it anyways for my wife because its important to her. My wife doesn't see a value in $400 diecast car-model, but she bought it anyways for me because its important to me.

It doesn't matter if he sees a value or not. The important thing is that she does and the gift is for her. If he truly loves her - he would've bought that for her.

Nope.

If he loves her, he loves her. He shouldn't have to show it by buying something expensive.
If she loves him, she would understand he's trying to save a buck.

It's just that Jorge is realizing that everything Anfisa wants is very expensive and beyond his comfort level of buying.

You're missing the point. The problem is his reasoning why he doesn't want to buy it. He doesn't see a value and because of that its not important. I don't see a value in many things that I buy for my wife and she feels the same way about some stuff that she buys for me. We still buy stuff to eachother that we want. You know why? Because it makes us happy. If I'm buying a birthday present for my wife, I will buy something that makes her happy - not something that I personally see any value in it.

And Jorge trying to save money? Who are you kidding?

And by the way, most of what we see on this show is fake - starting with their real relationship. So we can either talk about their real life or their fake life on tv, but don't mix the two.

I can only speak on what I see. The show did show them on vacations, which aren't cheap. Plus, Jorge had to spend some money on other things to convince Anfisa that he's the perfect mark.

To answer your question - no, she still not stop asking. Considering that he gave her an impression that he's so successful in life, I don't blame her for asking all those things. If you saw somebody driving Audi R8, would you assume right away that he's rich and that $10,000 purse is a pocket change for him? I would ...

I was commenting on part where you said that the GMC Yukon is not his; it belongs to the show. Probably, but both of them are also probably actors and their entire story is made up.

Maturity has nothing to do with anything if he is in love with this person, and love will make you do crazy things.

Now I will admit that $10 K in a strip club is extreme; but he was entertaining and showboating to his "clients" (whatever he does).

It maybe a legit (?) write off.

Giving duck lips Anfisa a $10 K bag is a waste as it will just sit in her closet. Her looks are at best meh.

Nice round number. Also, up to a certain point you do get an increase in quality - really cheap stuff doesn't last. After that, it's pure snobbery.

I admit that I don't know much (or anything at all) about purses, but I know other things where there's a big price difference.
Cars, for an example, since I test them for a living. That's like saying that Chevy is cheap stuff (which it is), but that there is no difference between Cadillac and Bentley. And believe me - there is, a big one.

Some women think of a high end bag as a luxury item, like jewelry. It's just a matter of where you are in the market. More expensive items are better quality to a point. Adding a prestige designer name like Chanel will multiply the cost. Lots of women would love to have a 10K Chanel bag. Hell, I'd like a 25K Berkin bag. I just can't afford it.

Attention to details, hand made, materials used, etc. The same reason why Bentley costs a lot more than Cadillac.

I don't think everyone assumes that. Howevwer, when you're coming from places like Russia, Ulkraine and some places in the Caribiean it's foolish to think their motives are completely pure. Thought that was pretty obvious.

It's a proven fact that people like Anfisa, who come off as abrasive/insensitive/rude/selfish--however you want to put it--are actually the most sensitive and get their feelings hurt way quicker than others. It may not make sense, but that's how it usually goes.
