At first I was put off by the depressing tone of the show, wasn't what I expected from a clown show. But the development has gotten better and it's much more a character study than anything else. Dark humor for sure, which always points to some hard truths and through what better vehicle than a clown? However, I feel the show won't let the underbelly of life get the last word.
