Comments *spoilers*

I've seen multiple people on this forum say how boring this show has gotten. Are we watching the same show?

Someone commented after this last episode 'how stupid could Chip be to think that Penelope actually loves him when all of the reason 'why', was explained during the picnic scene.

Mama Baskets already had mentioned that her husband 'fell' from a bridge but the reason he did it is connected to his children and Mama. We know something is off with Chip from the beginning but only now are we realizing that he is mentally handicapped, he was strangled by his brothers umbilical cord and it cut off the oxygen to his brain. Dale was never properly socialized due to the time he spent looking after Chip and the head case that is mama baskets and therefore he's a little off socially (i.e. volleyball game, daughter begging the girl to stop recording). His father couldn't handle the direction that his family was going and killed himself to
escape from it.

This is one of the deepest shows on television right now.

The beautiful thing about someone that's mentally handicapped is that all they want is to be happy, he thought it was the greatest thing in the world that Penelope wanted to be with him.

I'm wondering why Ma Baskets decided to adopt two more kids, considering the husband died in 1983 and the twins look younger than 33. It's like she rejected Chip and Dale and wanted to start again. And it's very obvious that she favors them a lot more.

I guess her husband left her a big insurance policy that lasted for the last 33 years. She has a nice house and doesn't look like she works. But then again, she had to use the twins money to pay for a nurse.

At $33 an hour, $1000 a week - that money would run out amazingly fast. I know. They plan on a couple of months, and an aide isn't really needed, but Mom Baskets is lonesome and would keep an aide on longer than that.
