Jeffrey's character Jack pissed me off in this movie. (SPOILER)

i loved this movie but the way Jack treated Patrick for his mistakes angered me a lot especially since it was Jack's having the affair with Patrick's wife that started the entire breakdown of the friendship (and Patrick's marriage). yes, Patrick wasn't doing a good job at looking after infant Lu but there's no doubt that he didn't mean for the wife to be attacked/killed at the warehouse. yet Jack accuses Patrick of murdering her.

Wtf is jack so pissed off about.. Lu is Patrick's daughter and it was his wife so wtf is jacks problem lol... Just because she left
Patrick for Jack doesn't mean Lu becomes
His daughter automatically. Wtf??? Why didn't he fight for his daughter.. Patrick could have been just as pissed off as Jack but he seemed to become a better guy .. I guess aside from the fact he was an alcoholic lol

Yeah, I was thinking WTF also. But the more I thought about it and kept watching, the more it reminded me of real life and people I know who haven't spoken to each each for years over something really stupid, or better yet something they think you did but actually never did. 

didn't patrick leave her to die though? maybe i missed it but it looked like she got attacked and he saw it and just walked away instead of helping her.

No, he walked off angry with a bottle of booze to get drunk. He was probably around the corner when she stopped watching him and got in the truck.

Yeah I felt the same. Not only does Jack steal his wife but then takes the kid, does not tell her who Patrick is/was plus survives and one assumes gets the new girl too.

Patrick (to me) was treated very harshly by the writers for some reason.
