What a waste
This movie was watched on fast forward for at least half of it so slow everything draw out to make it last longer than the 40 minutes it should of be

Credit where credit is due in regards to the kid though. She wasn't written as an adult with an IQ of 10000 like Dakota Fanning which comes off as unbelievably irritating and she wasn't annoying like the little *beep* from Babadook. She also wasn't used as the cliched 'kid can't keep its mouth shut' device which ultimately leads to the group getting screwed.
The kid in Babadook was annoying, but he was supposed to be - his mum was slowly losing her mind and had never stopped grieving, and there was her son, not giving her a moment of peace to deal with her emotions and stress, whilst reminding her of her husband who'd she lost. I thought his piercing voice was a necessary evil lol.
