I've always wanted a live-action treatment with the ORIGINAL story of Tekken. With young Kazuya and his quest to take down ol'papa Heihachi after being thrown from the cliff. Basically an adaptation of the first game.
....but not done so incredibly lame like this!! WTF did i just watch?!
Then there's that old minister guy. Seriously, this old, pathetic slob was able to keep that organization in line? He looked like he was ready to die of heart disease! So what if he had the bombs. Just gang up on him and take the device away.
Then at the end we see Cary Tagawa and the Tekken sign and....it makes me WANT to hope! Hope that if they make another one, those involved will pull their heads from their collective anus's, and give us a legit adaptation of the first tournament and ending with a Kazuya Vs heihachi showdown, like i mentioned above.
The first movie, despite its issues as an adaptation, was a competently made and surprisingly entertaining action/fight flick. If they could go back to that level of effort but, this time actually pay attention to (the first)game story? It could work.
Or maybe i'm just hoping for too much....
Edit: Oh and its always awesome seeing Gary Daniels(Bryan Fury) nowadays. If only he had slightly more to do.
