Was Daisy trying to get John Ruth to beat her?

Watching the movie again, it almost feels like she says racist stuff and taunts him only to get a rise out of him. Like she wants him to beat her. So weird. Any idea why this might be the case? I thought it might be so she looked brutalized, making her gang angry enough to want to kill him, but that was their plan from the start, so...

She clearly ridiculed him. Out of the 5 times (I believe) she provoked a physical reaction

"let him ride with OB"
"you overrate him, n****************"
spit on letter
"talk that sass Warren"
another verse to her song

at least 3 were directly targeting Ruth. You could say 4, even.

Edit: plus a 6th one, "when you get to hell John".

They have a great relationship, if slightly on the violent side (hahahaha). I actually expected them to have intercourse on the table. I'm sure they'll do it when they get to heaven

Yes, she's into that stuff.

The reason she does it is because she is a psychopathic *beep* whose taunting, ridiculing, torturing and killing are simply part of her nature. The chains won't do anything to change that.

If anything, it's the moments where she manages to come across as human that stand out.

"Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..."
