Why didn't they just shoot Kurt and Samuel L and that other guy and leave with the chick ? Makes no sense at all

They figured that John Ruth would have his gun trained on Daisy Domergue, and therefore if they were to just shoot John Ruth then he could end up shooting Daisy.
