Lincoln letter faked?

Just something about how both Russell and Goggins remark on the Mary Todd 'calling me to dinner' line - 'That's a nice touch' - which makes me wonder if Warren didn't just write the whole thing as something to show off to people. Though he did get upset enough at Daisy when she spat on it to hit her (then again, maybe he put a lot of work into it and was offended...).

Apparently you did not bother watching the whole movie since there was a long scene in which Warren is accused of (then fully admits) that the letter was a made-up forgery.

reply

Well, it is a long, gassy movie that barely anyone watches in its entirety, so what you're saying is possible.

reply

But wouldn't you know whether you watched it all or not?

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

reply

When you fall asleep on it and reawaken while it's still going for hours, it's hard to tell if you missed something important.

reply

If you fall asleep, you've missed something.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

reply

On their collective deathbed they are laughing about it and what a nice touch the Mary Todd stuff is.

So, why comment on a film in which you fell asleep on? That logic makes 0 sense. Is your comment perhaps... Meth induced?

reply

People comment on films they fall asleep on all the time. Just ask your friends when your family shows their home movies.

reply

I don't believe the letter was a fake

QT special. Read the trivia pg. It's explained. I recommend everyone read the trivia pg. before checking the message board. It sure helps.

reply

Is this actually a question? Warren said "of course it was" when directly asked if it was a fake.

Victims, aren't we all?
