Sooo..what happened to the railroad spike?

I want to see the "spike guys" analysis.

Laginas: "Hey, this is a deck nail, right?"

Spike Guy: "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

I guess they couldn't find a 'spike specialist' or whatever they said they were gonna do

reply

They did find a spike specialist, when he was done laughing he buried the spike in Marty's skull. That's why his glasses were crooked through the entire next episode and he kept saying the same crap over and over again.

reply

Jeez, the next 3 seasons could be them trying to dig it out of his skull then.

We will fly to the Czech Republic. Inside a cave is a man named Dubrovnik who has spent his whole life studying different railroad spikes. Sure we could do this on Skype in 30 seconds, but we can get 3 shows out of this.

reply

Dig out? You mean airlift it out of the skull. :)

reply

haha imagine what it would look like seeing him standing under the airlift with his head cocked to the side, dan slamming that machine into gear....it'd suck him straight up like a bank tube

Imagine if they found a deck nail that somewhat proves a ship was buried there. Now imagine if they didn't. Yeah looks like they didn't find a deck nail. Although they did mention it could be from a rail system they had when digging the mine....but that would be admitting it was a railroad spike and the expert was wrong. But anyway, why no closer examination the next episode? Why instead of showing the brothers the "nail" at the restaurant, did he just say "I have it in a bag.."? It's a no for me, dawg. I think they want us to forget about it ever happening. They drained a swamp, found a ship plank and nail and it wasn't enough evidence to look further :)

OR Oak Island spiked their dig? Either way, the island is to blame.

With apologies to Thomas Paine, the railroad spike incident is the point at which the show officially went from the sublime to the ridiculous.
