Where did he learn how to do all that stuff?

I typically don't watch violent movies because they literally make me feel ill, but I was drawn to 'Rampage' because of its political premises, and I am not disappointed; violent movies for the sake of violence are a waste of time.
There is no argument that the main character, Bill Williamson, was insane, but he was driven by his truth about the suppression (and ignorance) of the majority by our governments and corporations.
There is a lot to think about in this movie.
I watched the movie twice but could not see where or how Bill learned about explosives and demolition tactics; there was no reference of him ever being in the military.
Any comments?

He was in hiding for a year. So I would assume during that year he learned about explosives. It's not hard either, all the information to make bombs and learn about explosives is out there and on the internet. That information has never been privileged.

SPOILER. Thanks for your answer; possibly he did teach himself how to build the bombs, he's certainly intelligent enough.
His planning of the offense was flawless; he knew where to pack the bombs and how to set the cameras so he'd know when to blow them up. But yet, in his first 'rampage' he had fantasized and planned to kill everyone in the bingo hall but when he showed up to do so the hall was closed; you'd think that someone with Bill's intelligence he would have checked the bingo hall's schedule; that was some pretty poor planning on his part.

Do you suppose he spent that missing year in the house that he'd set on fire?
(I had been wondering why those 3 people had shown up at the house. I thought maybe they had been some of his fans but now I remember they had been looking for a 'Mr. Johnson'; no doubt Bill had disposed of Mr. Johnson.)

I also found it ironic that Bill kept preaching to his disciples to go out and kill politicians and rich people, etc., yet he himself went after random middle class individuals.

The movie is intriguing because although Bill was a psychopath he had a real grasp on the way our country has become corporately owned.
