Went down on rewatch but still good

First time I saw it, I was by myself, got high and absolutely loved it. I rated it 9/10. On rewatch, I sat with my 71 years old father and 21 year old nephew and I kept thinking in my head; “ where are the genuinely hilarious scenes I remember watching?” Surr, there is some fun lines and we shared a few solid chuckles here and there but even I didn’t find it “hilarious” this time around. Eck, in the werewolves scene near the end we basically don’t see anything what with the camera moving and cutting non-stop. This is just one example of how a scene didn’t play out as I remembered it did when I first saw it. My (new) rating: 7.5/10

I like the movie! I mean it's not great cinema and it's not laugh-out-loud hilarious, it's not a farce that hits you over the head with situations or big punch lines, but it has a subtly absurd humor I like very much.

Plus, it came out when the horrors of the "Twilight" mess was still fresh in everyone's mind. The whole Vampire genre needed a satire.
