So disappointed

I watched Divergent two days ago, the next day I went out and bought Insurgent and Allegiant. I enjoyed Divergent that much that I watched it a second time yesterday too.

However, I just finished watching Allegiant and am so disappointed with it!
It's editing reminded me of a bad 1990's film, the plot was ridiculous and confusing, yet totally predictable. I feel like I have to watch it all over again just to try and understand what went on, I much preferred the vibe of the first movie and felt like Tris was a lot stronger in the first two. Having a strong female lead is what attracted me to the film so much, and then they made her a love-sick, (somewhat) helpless female.

Are the movies very staple to the books? Will I feel the same disappointment in them as I did this?

Anyway, it's such a shame. If they didn't cater to such a pg-13 audience and gave it a little more 'oomf', it would have made such a better and successful movie.
