When Peter is sent back to Chicago by David, Evelyn and the rest of the people are now in an all white room. Did that exist the entire story and we just didn't see it?
How was the room of gas hidden from them? Was it in a secret area?

Yeah, if you use logic, you might ask the question why David had to send Peter to Chicago to trick Evelyn into releasing the gas when he can control everything from the airport. He could've gassed everyone and had it all be over before Tris and her friends got there.
