Have you ever noticed how Raphael Bob-Waksbergs decision to make Bojack a brown horse, as opposed to say a white horse, has allowed an arguably very white show to conveniently have a token black character as the lead?

Utter genius.

Arrested Development didn't have a token black character either. GENIUS!

I think the brown colour just happened to look the best on screen. For a show where central characters aren't even inclined to be human, I don't think discrimination against blacks is a very viable criticism anyway. Besides, the human characters are pretty diverse.
