Never read any of the books these are based on, so I don't have that book
purist bias.

None of that, " Tom Cruise??? But but..Jack Reacher was a seven
foot tall Navy Seal and and..." Whateveh!

Also liked the first flick, so I'm game.

People rip Cruise apart, instead of recognizing he's probably one of the best actors around, and he's consistently an awesome actor.

I honestly can't think of one movie with him I didn't enjoy.

And yes, I still love Vanilla Sky.

Same here i had no idea about Jack Reacher Novel until Cruise did one!! He was at his best

I've read every one of the books and understand what the book "purists" are saying but I'm perfectly OK with Cruise. Sure, he's a far cry from meeting the physical traits of book Reacher, but I just don't see how any actor who meets all of these traits would draw the same box office numbers Cruise does. Cruise may be the only one to have brought enough $$$ to have gotten this sequel or any subsequent movies beyond this. Call Lee Child a sell out if you must, but ultimately that's what matters most to me. I want to see more of this excellent series brought to life on the big screen.
