When Jack Reacher was breaking bones, I was cheering my ass off. When he was trying to talk some sense into stupid women, that's when the entire film derailed. Regardless of his height, The Jack Reacher I know wouldn't have put up with the abuse and mind games that the women in this film played on him.

Feminist crap was all the way through this film. From a woman taking pleasure in teaching a child to kick someone in the balls, to "omg you want me to look after the child because I am a woman" garbage. It was a constant theme and it ruined it. The fact that he had to coddle and protect the two women just sucked all the fun out of the film. Its like having a film like Terminator 2 but replacing John Connor him with a whiney 2 year old toddler. Then we had to listen to the woman whine and moan at the main character for large periods where she was insulting and irrational. In reality he would of told her and the kid to F off in the first 10 minutes and the film would actually been good.
Glad that a woman actually has the guts and brains to agree, instead of going on the blind triggered defensive

I thought the first Jack Reacher was criticised for its portrayal of women you make it sound like the sequel is the same. You sound like a terrorist complaining that you are killing too many people.
shareFor the most part I didn't mind Cobie Smulders in this movie until near the end. At one point she tries fighting the one hardcore mercenary dude in the kitchen scene and that guy just wipes her out relatively easy. I thought "Thank you!" because I fully expected some crap where she bailed Reacher out and beat this dude down. Of course near the end they just had to give her some random secondary heel to strangle to death, as though she could seriously kill a grown man (who is a vicious mercenary killer no less) with her bare hands. It was almost like they had a fairly realistic woman army officer character and then in the last reel had her morph into Ilsa Faust from the last Mission Impossible movie.
shareSaw both movies in the last day. I felt Never Go Back wasn't as good as Jack Reacher. The whole movie ground to a halt when the teen-ager was introduced. Boy or girl, him having a child at risk was an unneeded complication. Colbe Smulders wasn't bad, made for a good foil for Cruise. As a Army major in her early thirties, I believe her character would do well in hand to hand. I have an aunt who's a retired major herself she was always training and keeping fit, her and my uncle the colonel constantly had to work out to pass US Army standards.
